PRODUCT DESIGN WORKSHOP
The Hustle Never Dies Product Design Workshop offers a contemporary, inclusive, and educational approach to fashion and entrepreneurship for youths aged 13 to 18 years.
With an abundance of innovative ideas, inspiration, and practical skills, this workshop fosters self-expression, empowerment, teamwork, and confidence-building by enabling students to bring their ideas to fruition.
On Day 1 of the Product Design Workshop, students will learn about the essential steps involved in building a successful brand. The session will cover topics such as logo design, market research, manufacturing, and protecting their brand. They will explore how to create a logo that truly represents their brand’s identity, gain insights into conducting market research to understand competitors and target audiences and discover the process of turning a concept into a tangible product through manufacturing. Additionally, students will learn the importance of safeguarding their brand through trademarks and other legal protections.
After this foundational learning, students will break into groups and begin working collaboratively on developing their brand identity. Each group will start brainstorming and shaping their brand’s mission, vision, and creative direction.
At the end of Day 1, I will assign homework that includes submitting their logo design and a mock-up of their product one week before Day 2. They will also be required to create a shot list for a photo shoot and come up with ideas for marketing videos to promote their brand. This preparation will equip them for the hands-on experience in the second session, where they will bring their brand concepts to life.
On Day 2 of the workshop, students will split into two groups to dive into hands-on experiences, bringing their brand vision to life. One group will work with Dameion of BRIMZ in a guided embroidery session, watching their logos come to life on real products. The other group will collaborate with Brione on a photoshoot and video production, capturing professional images and marketing content. Afterward, the groups will rotate, ensuring each student gains valuable experience in both product creation and media production.
